Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using CronRadar ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you do not have permission to access the Service.

2. Description of Service

CronRadar provides cron job and scheduled task monitoring services. We track the execution of your scheduled tasks and alert you when they fail, run late, or don't run at all.

3. Account Registration

3.1 Account Creation

  • You must provide accurate and complete information
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service
  • You are responsible for maintaining account security
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

3.2 Account Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for all activities under your account
  • One person or legal entity per account
  • You may not share your account credentials

4. Acceptable Use

4.1 You May:

  • Use the Service for legitimate business purposes
  • Monitor your own applications and services
  • Integrate our API into your applications

4.2 You May Not:

  • Use the Service for illegal purposes
  • Attempt to breach or test our security without permission
  • Send spam or malicious pings to the Service
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without permission
  • Use the Service to monitor third-party services without authorization
  • Exceed rate limits or abuse the API

5. Payment Terms

5.1 Pricing

  • Current pricing: $1 per monitor per month
  • Prices are subject to change with 30 days notice
  • All prices are in USD

5.2 Billing

  • Subscription fees are billed monthly in advance
  • Payment is processed through Stripe
  • You authorize automatic recurring payments
  • No refunds for partial months

5.3 Free Trial

  • 14-day free trial for new accounts
  • No credit card required for trial
  • Automatic conversion to paid plan after trial

5.4 Failed Payments

  • Service may be suspended for failed payments
  • Data retained for 30 days after suspension
  • Account reactivated upon successful payment

6. Service Level Agreement

6.1 Uptime Commitment

  • We target 99.9% uptime for the monitoring service
  • Uptime excludes scheduled maintenance

6.2 Monitoring Accuracy

  • Best-effort delivery of alerts
  • No guarantee of alert delivery time
  • Not responsible for third-party delivery failures (email, SMS)

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Your Content

  • You retain ownership of your data
  • You grant us license to use your data to provide the Service
  • We may use aggregated, anonymized data for improvements

7.2 Our Property

  • CronRadar name, logo, and service are our property
  • You may not use our branding without permission
  • API clients and SDKs are provided under MIT license

8. Privacy and Data

8.1 Data Protection

  • We handle your data according to our Privacy Policy
  • We implement industry-standard security measures
  • You are responsible for securing your API keys

8.2 Data Retention

  • Monitor ping data retained for 30 days
  • Alert history retained for 90 days
  • Account data retained while account is active

9. Disclaimers and Limitations

9.1 Service Provided "As Is"

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

9.2 Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL CRONRADAR BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL.

9.3 Maximum Liability

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CronRadar from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any rights of another party

11. Termination

11.1 By You

  • You may cancel your account at any time
  • No refunds for unused time
  • Your data will be deleted within 30 days

11.2 By Us

  • We may terminate for Terms violations
  • We may terminate for non-payment
  • We may discontinue the Service with 60 days notice

11.3 Effect of Termination

  • Access to Service immediately revoked
  • Data available for export for 30 days
  • Provisions that should survive will remain in effect

12. Changes to Terms

  • We may modify these Terms at any time
  • Material changes will be notified via email
  • Continued use constitutes acceptance of new Terms
  • You may terminate if you disagree with changes

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Delaware.

14. Dispute Resolution

14.1 Informal Resolution

We prefer to resolve disputes informally. Please contact us at legal@cronradar.com before filing any legal action.

14.2 Arbitration

Any disputes not resolved informally shall be resolved through binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

14.3 Class Action Waiver

You agree to resolve disputes individually and waive any right to participate in class actions.

15. General Provisions

15.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and CronRadar.

15.2 Severability

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

15.3 No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right.

15.4 Assignment

You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign our rights to any successor.

16. Specific Service Terms

16.1 API Usage

  • Rate limited to 60 requests per minute per API key
  • Must include valid API key in all requests
  • Must not circumvent rate limits

16.2 Monitor Limits

  • Monitors must use valid cron expressions
  • Reasonable grace periods (1 minute to 24 hours)
  • Monitor keys must be unique within your application

16.3 Alert Delivery

  • Email alerts require verified email address
  • We are not responsible for email delivery issues
  • Webhook URLs must respond within 5 seconds

17. Beta Features

Features marked as "beta" are provided as-is without warranties and may be discontinued at any time.

19. Definitions

  • "Ping": A signal sent to indicate successful execution
  • "Application": A container for related monitors
  • "API Key": Authentication credential for API access

By using CronRadar, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
